Truecaller verified caller ID

Ask for Truecaller's verified caller ID on one of your numbers, and calls from it show your brand name, logo and Truecaller's green verified badge. Agents can also show a reason for each call on the receiver's phone before they pick up.

Asking for verification

On Phone numbers in the console, choose Get verified next to a number. Give:

  • The name callers see, 3 to 40 characters, matching your KYC or brand.
  • A logo: a square PNG or JPEG, at least 200×200 pixels, under 2 MB.
  • Your business category.
  • Optionally, the usual reason you call and your website.

Your KYC is sent with the request. Asking needs the numbers.manage permission.

The request then goes through these statuses:

StatusWhat it means
requestedWaiting for the Vaakyo team to review it. You can withdraw it.
submittedSent to Truecaller.
verifiedTruecaller lists the number: calls show your name, logo and badge.
rejectedThe Vaakyo team needs changes; the reason is shown. Fix them and request again.
withdrawnYou withdrew it before it was submitted.
removedVerification stopped (by you, by the Vaakyo team, or after an unpaid fee).

You get an email when it is submitted, verified or needs changes.

Fees

Nothing is charged until Truecaller verifies the number. Then the workspace pays the verification fee from its credits: a setup fee (none by default) and a monthly fee (₹1,500 by default; the Vaakyo team can set your own). Plans that include Truecaller verification (Scale) waive both fees, marked Included in your plan, as caller_id rows in the credit ledger, each with an invoice. If the monthly fee can’t be paid, the verification is removed after the grace period (7 days by default). Choose Stop to end it yourself; the monthly fee stops.

A reason for each call

On the agent’s Call tab, switch on Truecaller call reason and write the reason, with {variables} filled per call:

Your order {order_id} is out for delivery

Just before an outbound call from a verified number is dialled, Vaakyo sends Truecaller your brand name and this reason (10 to 100 characters once filled), so Android Truecaller users see it while the phone rings. It never delays the call by more than a moment; if Truecaller doesn’t answer in time, the call goes ahead without it. The call’s timeline shows a call.caller_id event with what was sent. The setting is call.truecaller_call_reason on the agent.

API

All need a signed-in user (API keys don’t have numbers.manage):
